Storms rolled through the Twin Cities Thursday evening and a church started on fire from what officials believe was a bolt of lightning.

A lightning strike may have been the cause of a steeple fire at a historic church in St. Paul on Thursday, the fire department said. The fire didn’t extend into the church in Frogtown and no injuries were reported.

A historic St. Paul church is condemned ahead of Easter weekend after it caught on fire due to what is believed to be a lightning strike. Now the church's leader is working to make sure the church reopens as soon as possible.
