Hours after a massive power cut hit large parts of Spain and Portugal, Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez says the cause is still being investigated

A widespread power outage hit Spain and Portugal, affecting millions of people who live across Europe's Iberian Peninsula.

Major power outages across large areas of Spain and Portugal, as well as parts of southern France, knocked out traffic lights and disrupted public transportation and airport operations on Monday. Officials did not say what caused the outages, but several denied any foul play.
