Elton John has had a lot to say about Madonna over the years, but recently he offered the fellow pop icon two simple words: "Forgive me." Madge announced Monday on Instagram that she and the "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" singer have put an end to their public beef after more than two decades.

Madonna and Elton John have made amends after a notorious years-long feud that saw the two publicly trading barbs against each other since 2004.

Kanye West, two other titans of popular music famously went head to head: Elton John and Madonna, who kept up a bitter back-and-forth for more than two decades before finally laying it to rest with a serendipitous peace meeting held backstage at Saturday Night Live.
