Unfortunately, the Mayor’s veto will only slow down progress and cause further delays into the future of George Floyd Square. Let’s honor the lives we’ve lost to police violence and get this right the first time.

By a vote of 9-4, the Minneapolis City Council overrode Mayor Jacob Frey's veto of the council's plan to establish a pedestrian mall at George Floyd Square in south Minneapolis.

This is the second lawsuit in which business owners allege the city disrupted and ruined businesses by not policing the area.
