A small Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser was reported overdue Sunday night. It was believed to be near Tustumena Lake in Alaska. Rescue teams assembled to locate the plane.

A pilot and his two young daughters survived on the wing of a plane for about 12 hours after it crashed and was partially submerged in an icy Alaska lake, then were rescued after being spotted by a good Samaritan.

Terry Godes, the pilot who found the plane wreckage, said it was a miracle the man and his daughters survived the crash and freezing temperatures on the wing of the plane on an icy lake overnight.
