Sparks star Kelsey Plum sent a powerful message to Mystics rookie Georgia Amoore after the latter suffered an ACL injury before her first WNBA game.

The Mystics selected Amoore with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft two weeks ago following her highly productive collegiate career at Virginia Tech and Kentucky. A 5'6" guard from Australia, Amoore was a two-time All-ACC First Team selection and the 2023 ACC tournament MVP in 2023 during her time with the Hokies.

The Washington Mystics lost first-round draft pick Georgia Amoore for the foreseeable future after the guard suffered a right ACL injury in practice Tuesday. The team announced the injury Wednesday but did not offer details or a timeline for her return.
