Bill Belichick has officially signed his North Carolina contract. The school released the text of Belichick’s deal through the end of 2029 on Thursday after the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach was announced as UNC’s head coach in December.

More than a month after he was introduced as the coach at North Carolina, Bill Belichick has formally signed his contract with the university. The deal is laden with incentives that could make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the sport.

Bill Belichick has officially signed on the dotted line with the University of North Carolina. Belichick signed his contract with the Tar Heels on Wednesday, which the school released on Thursday. Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports posted part of the contract on X,

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has released Bill Belichick's (finally signed) contract and his massive buyout price tag has been confirmed.

Bill Belichick was introduced as UNC’s coach last month, on Dec. 11. He had not signed his contract, though, until this week.
