Lyft CEO David Risher said in an X post that the rideshare giant will roll out autonomous rides in Dallas as soon as 2026.

Lyft Inc. has chosen Dallas as the first city to debut its fleet of driverless robotaxis. The ride-hailing company will launch driverless rides in a partnership with autonomous driving company Mobileye Global Inc., a spinoff from Intel Corp.

Lyft says it will launch a fleet of robotaxis, using self-driving technology from Intel’s Mobileye, in Dallas in “as soon as 2026,” with plans to scale to ”thousands” of vehicles in additional markets in the months to follow. To signal its seriousness, the company tapped Marubeni, a Japanese conglomerate, to run fleet operations.
