Former two-time heavyweight champion Miocic retired after suffering a third-round TKO loss to heavyweight champ Jon Jones (28-1 MMA, 22-1 UFC) last November at UFC 309. But when asked whom he believes is the “Baddest Man on the Planet,” Miocic instead named Francis Ngannou, with whom he split two UFC title fights.

Back in November at UFC 309, Jones knocked out Stipe Miocic in an historic main event at Madison Square Garden. However, the dominant victory wasn’t enough to have the legendary two-time champion back his old rival to beat Francis Ngannou in a battle of the world’s ‘baddest men’.

Aside from a loss in his second pro fight and the bizarre contest that was his stalemate with Derrick Lewis, the only man to really best a dangerous Francis Ngannou was Stipe Miocic. The defending heavyweight champion broke the record for consecutive title defenses in the division when he convincingly beat Ngannou at UFC 220.
