Houston acquired safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a 2026 sixth-round pick from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for guard Kenyon Green and a 2026 fifth rounder. The move comes less than 24 hours after the Texans traded Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil for a package of picks from the Washington Commanders.

The Houston Texans and free agent edge rusher Darrell Taylor agreed on a one-year deal on Monday. Taylor adds depth to a stronghold for Houston. Texans edge rushers Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter were the only duo with 12+ sacks and 60+ pressures across the NFL regular and postseason last year according to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats.

According to a report from NFL Media, Darrell Taylor is signing with the Texans on a one-year, $5.25 million deal. Taylor, 27, spent last season with the Bears. He recorded 3.0 sacks with three tackles for loss and nine QB hits.
