Prosecutors say police found Joseph Donohue's body wrapped up and weighted on his houseboat in Charlestown Sunday.

New information has been released on the murder of a man found stabbed to death on a houseboat in Charlestown last weekend.

A 24-year-old named a “person of interest” in connection with the death of a man on a luxury houseboat in Charlestown now faces a murder charge, prosecutors said Thursday. Nora Nelson was arrested at the scene of the man’s death on Sunday night on a trio of warrants charging her with a variety of domestic violence offenses unrelated to the Charlestown case.

Police went to the marina to conduct a welfare check after Donohue’s family hadn’t heard from him for 48 hours, a prosecutor said in court Friday.

A distraught friend of the victim said he was a Boston lawyer and a divorced father of three. Sources said his dog was also found dead in the harbor.

Police say a 24-year-old woman gave them fake names and refused to answer questions when they arrived at a Charlestown houseboat for a well-being check. She was arraigned Friday on a charge of murder.
