This 17th-century guest house is an historical building on a quiet, traditional street. It is in Oxford city centre, surrounded by Oxford University colleges, a 2-minute walk from all the shops. The Tower House has charming old features, such as wooden ceiling beams. The rooms are decorated and furnished to match the building's history and style. There are also modern touches, like tea/coffee, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV (with Freeview). The deluxe rooms were once a tower that formed part of the medieval city walls, which gives the building the name Tower House. The owners are not always on site; you must state your expected arrival time when booking.
Sadly this ended up as not a great experience..... The Guest House itself is in a sensational location but it is indeed rundown and tired! However my initial communications were friendly and helpful …Full review by swb1967
