Dr Sonia Sandhu completed her medical school and Internal Medicine residency from Pt BD Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, India, which is one of the top medical universities in Northern India.She then moved to the United States in 2008 and did residency training in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology from John H Stroger, Jr Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, IL. She was actively involved in various teaching and research activities during her training. After that she worked as a clinical associate for 1 year at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City with special interest in neuro-oncology.
